Maria brink......................Maria Brink was born on December 18 1977 into a troubled family in New York. Her father had left the family when she wasn't even an adult. Brink was 14 when she became pregnant, then dropped out of high the school. To support her family, Brink was able to move in with her son Davion after giving birth. Brink's first band, Pulse from Albany New York, was formed in 1995. It was primarily a support band for local bands such as Coal Chamber or Sevendust. The band's members eventually broke up. After moving into Los Angeles from California at the age of 25, Brink emigrated to the city in 2002. Brink started working in store, and singing in bars. Brink was looking for groups. After a few years, Chris Howorth, a member of the current band she's in, attended an interview with her. Howorth turned down her application because she is female. Howorth quickly changed his mind and apologised after hearing her singing. They formed the Dying Stars group with Jeff Fabb, a drummer. Blake Bunzel (guitarist) and Josh Newell (bassist) joined the group afterward. In This Moment was the name given to the group following its first two performances.
